Paris Hair Stylist – Get to Know Me

English Speaking Hairstylist

Bonjour everyone,

Lately I have been reminiscing about the days I used to write my life away, either in a journal or on a blog. I miss those moments of self-reflection, opening myself up, and sharing. I have decided that I really want to share more with you. What better way than to tell you a bit more about myself to get this ball rolling! Cosy up with a cup of tea cuddled in hand and imagine crisp winter Paris air with the kind of sunshine that draws you out into that winter cold.

The first thing I do when I wake up is : Pray

What made you move to Paris? It was initially for one year. I was finishing my undergrad International Marketing degree and also wanted to learn French. The two came together in Paris and next thing you know I am falling in love with this Parisian man and voila, still here.

Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert? I am 100% ambivert – a person who has a balance of extrovert and introvert features in their personality.

What are some career highlights? I have been in love with art, creativity and all that encompasses hair since I was a little girl. I have been blessed to make a living with my career choice for the past 10 years! Career highlights would be seeing my clients look at themselves in the mirror after being pampered and that indescrible look of joy.

What is your favorite book and/or movie? My friend Laurie gave me one of the best presents. She bought me one of her favorite books in English that she had been reading in French. (She found it in Germany so there is a rather funny story about this) It is Etty Hillesum: An interruped life the diaries. This book changed my life. I feel like Etty is my friend in my head. I have never met someone so positive, truthful, loving, honest and heartbreaking. The movie An Imitation of Life 1959 is a classic and I often rewatch it. Okay to be honest it is a really sad movie but I used to watch it with my grandmother and brother and the conversations about this movie were the best.

What is your favorite food? French fries, chips whatever you want to call them. I can eat fries every day…ummm I love them!

What is your favorite thing to do in Paris? I really think Paris is the best walking city and people watching city. Getting lost walking around aimlessly, sipping on tea in a cosy cafe and searching/testing out the latest food joint.

Thank you for your time! Look out for more blog posts soon!
